Frequently asked questions
Short, honest answers about what a fairlyhome report shows, what it does not, and how your account, payments and data work.
Reports
What you get, where the data comes from and where the report stops.
What does a report contain?
You start from an address. Depending on the data available for the area, the report gathers nearby points of interest, public transport, the seismic risk class, flood exposure and market references. Every item comes with its source and date.
Where does the data come from and how current is it?
From public sources: official lists, risk maps, OpenStreetMap, public transport feeds and the notaries' study. Next to each item you see its source and date, so you can judge how recent it is.
Which areas do you cover?
We start with Bucharest, where public data is the most complete. For other places the report shows only what we find, and what is missing is marked as such.
What does the report not include?
It does not include land book data (owners, liens, disputes), it is not a price valuation and it is not a technical survey of the building. For the land book, ask the seller or a notary for an extract.
If a building is missing from a list, does that mean the risk is low?
No. Not being on a list says nothing about the condition of the building. The seismic class appears only where an official list exists (in Bucharest, the AMCCRS list), and flood exposure only inside areas mapped by ANAR. Otherwise we say we have no data.
Does the report replace a notary, a lawyer or an expert?
No. The report is an information tool. For decisions with legal or technical effects, such as a preliminary contract, talk to a notary, a lawyer or a technical expert.
Payments and credits
How you buy reports and what happens when something goes wrong.
How do credits work?
You buy credits, and one credit is one report for one address. You can see how many credits you have in your account.
Which packs are there?
A single report, a pack of 3 reports and an offer for companies, on request, through the contact page. The price is shown before you pay.
How do I pay?
By card, through Stripe. You enter the card details at Stripe, and we never see or store them.
Do I get an invoice?
You can fill in billing details at checkout. If you need an invoice for a company or a correction, write to us through the contact page.
What if the report cannot be generated?
If we cannot find the address or a source does not respond, we tell you what is missing. If the report cannot be generated, you are not charged.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, in the cases described in the refund policy. You will find the conditions and the steps there.
Account
Signing in, settings and deleting your account.
How do I create an account?
With email and password, or with your Google or Facebook account. With email and password you receive a confirmation message.
Where are my reports?
In your account, under Reports. You can open them any time.
How do I change my email or password?
From the account settings. If you forgot your password, use the reset link on the sign in page.
How do I delete my account?
From the account settings, in the account deletion section. Your account, reports and data are deleted, and this cannot be undone. If the option is not available, write to us through the contact page and we will do it.
Can I use the same account on my phone and my computer?
Yes. You sign in with the same details and see your credits and reports.
Affiliates
For those who recommend fairlyhome.
How do affiliate codes work?
Each affiliate has a personal code. The buyer enters it when ordering and gets a discount, and the affiliate earns a commission on the paid report.
What discount does the buyer get?
Every approved code gives a discount on the report. You can see the percentage on the affiliate program page, before you pay.
How is the commission calculated and when is it paid?
The commission is a percentage of the price of each report paid with your code. Payouts are monthly. The percentage and the minimum balance are in the affiliate program terms.
Who can become an affiliate?
Real estate agents, content creators, credit brokers and communities. You apply from the affiliate program page, and we review the application before approving it.
Personal data
What we keep and what rights you have.
What personal data do you collect?
Only what is needed: account, payment and billing details, plus the addresses you search, so we can show you your reports. Details in the Privacy policy.
Do you sell my data?
No. We use it to provide the service and to meet legal obligations, and some of it reaches providers the service cannot work without, such as the payment processor.
What are my GDPR rights?
You can ask for access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of processing and portability. You can delete your account yourself from settings, and for the rest write to us through the contact page. The full list is in the Privacy policy.
Which cookies do you use?
The ones the site needs and, only if you agree, optional ones. You can change your choice at any time, and the details are in the cookie policy.
Where can I read the terms of use?
In the Terms and conditions.
